CMS awarded maximum 12 prizes by Chief Secretary Shri Durga Shankar Mishra at Beating the Retreat ceremony
Lucknow, January 29 : At the 'Beating the
Retreat' ceremony held at Reserve Police Lines today, the Chief Secretary of U.P.,
Shri Durga Shankar Mishra, awarded the maximum number of 12 prizes to City
Montessori School for its various items presented at the Republic Day Parade
this year. On this occasion, the CMS tableau based on the theme ‘Blessed is the
spot where prayers in praise of God are offered’ was honoured with the 'Chal
Vaijayanti' trophy as the first prize. CMS Founder and eminent educationist Dr.
Jagdish Gandhi received the trophy. Speaking
to the media persons in an informal talk after the "Beating the
Retreat" ceremony, Dr. Jagdish Gandhi said that our real success lies in
the fact that this tableau has been successful in imparting the important
message of Sarva Dharma Sambhav (Unity of the Religions) to the entire society.
Chief
Public Relations Officer of CMS, Shri Hari Om Sharma informed that in the
'Beating the Retreat ceremony, CMS was awarded 8 first prizes, one second
prize, and three third prizes for its various items presented at the Republic
Day Parade. The
first prizes were awarded in different categories to CMS Kanpur Road Campus for
'Bharat ka Teekakaran', CMS Aliganj (Campus I) for Boys' March Past, CMS Gomti
Nagar (Campus II) for Girls' March Past, CMS RDSO Campus for Girls' Flag March,
CMS Rajendra Nagar (Campus I) for Dance Presentation 'Bharat ki Beti,' CMS
Rajajipuram (Campus I) for the dance performance 'Bharatvarsh ki Viranagayein'
and CMS Kanpur Road Campus for Pipe Band presentation. CMS Anand Nagar Campus
was awarded the second prize for its 'Sabko Avsar, Sabko Unnati' drill while
the Flag March of CMS Gomti Nagar Campus I, Dance performance of CMS Mahanagar
Campus, and Brass Band presentation of CMS Kanpur Road were awarded the third
prizes in their respective categories.
