CMS students give a strong message of Family Unity on St Valentines Martyrdom day

Lucknow, February 14 : The 55,000 students of all 18 campuses of City Montessori School, gave a strong message of ‘Family Unity’ by celebrating St Valentine’s Martyrdom Day, ‘Valentine’s Day’ as ‘Family Unity Day’. The students said that the real meaning of Valentine's Day is to give the message of love, unity and peace to all the members of the family and society, because Saint Valentine had sacrificed his life for stability of family and social unity, but some selfish people, for their vested interests, have given a perverted form of cheap entertainment to his martyrdom day on 14th February which is adversely affecting the society.

               In this series, a grand online event, 'International Family Unity Festival (MENAGE)' was organized by City Montessori School, Station Road Campus today. Chief Guest of the event, Dr Akhilesh Kumar Mishra, IAS, Special Secretary, Transport, U.P. Government, addressing the audience online, said that there is a need to motivate the young generation to understand the importance of family unity and social unity. Students from Russia, the USA, Jordan, Singapore, Bangladesh and different states of India participated with great enthusiasm in this International Family Unity Festival, MENAGE.

               Speaking on the occasion, CMS Founder, Dr Jagdish Gandhi said that people are forgetting the sacred spirit of ‘Valentine’s Day’ and this day is being observed in its distorted form which is misleading the young generation. He called upon the teachers and parents to promote unity and peace in the society by showing the path of morality and good character to children. CMS President, Prof Geeta Gandhi Kingdon also expressed her views on the occasion. Convenor of Menage and Principal of CMS Station Road Campus, Mrs Deepali Gautam expressed her gratitude to all the teachers, parents and participating students of India and abroad.
