Lucknow, July 21 :
Students of City Montessori School, Rajendra Nagar Campus II took out a grand
march to motivate the society for water conservation and spread awareness about
the importance of water in our lives. The students’ march was led by the school
Principal, Mrs Shameem Singh. This initiative was highly appreciated by the
general public who encouraged the students in their efforts. The students, carrying banners-posters in
their hands, and raising slogans, took rounds of the Rajendra Nagar area and
made public aware about water conservation, limited availability of drinking
water, water pollution, wastage of water etc. They also took a pledge to save
water.
Earlier, inaugurating the ‘Water Conservation’ march,
Principal of CMS Rajendra Nagar Campus II, Mrs Shameem Singh said that we
are all aware of the importance of water in daily life, despite that we are not
sensitized about the wastage of water and significance of water conservation.
If the importance of water conservation is not understood, then we are leading
our future in darkness. Therefore, it is necessary to make children aware about
the importance of water conservation from childhood itself. CMS Founder, Dr
Jagdish Gandhi congratulated the students, teachers and Principal of Rajendra
Nagar Campus II for their socially impactful initiative.
Chief Public Relations Officer of CMS, Shri Hari Om
Sharma informed that CMS students have always been at the forefront of
public awareness campaigns and this water conservation march is another series
in its efforts. Today it is necessary that every citizen of the society should
be aware and serious about water, energy and environment. He expressed
confidence that this march of CMS students will inspire teenagers and youth for
conservation of water and environment.
