Lucknow, 3 September : City Montessori School organized a grand 'Teachers Felicitation Function' at CMS Gomti Nagar Extension Campus today to mark Teachers Day. The programme began with the lighting of lamp and garlanding of the portrait of the former President of India, Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan by the Chief Guest, Mr Brajesh Pathak, Deputy Chief Minister of UP. On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Mr Brajesh Pathak felicitated CMS teachers for their unparalleled services by giving away awards and prizes in cash and kind. In total, prizes worth over Rs. 1.5 crore were given away to around 3000 teaching and non-teaching staff of CMS. On this occasion, CMS Founders, Dr Jagdish Gandhi and Dr Bharti Gandhi, and CMS President and MD, Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the learned and dedicated CMS teachers.
Addressing
the gathering of teachers, Chief Guest, Shri Brajesh Pathak said that City Montessori School
is famed all over the country for its high quality education. Parents are well
assured that if their child is studying in CMS, then he or she is sure to rise
high in life and reach the desired aim. Mr Pathak stated that such high
academic standards can be accomplished only if the teachers are dedicated,
qualified and committed in their work. Here teachers work relentlessly with a
missionary zeal to mould children of high character and ideals and education
itself is a lifelong commitment for them. I congratulate these CMS teachers for
their noble task, he said.
The main attraction of
the Teachers Felicitation Function was the honouring of the parents of the Best
Teachers of the school. On this occasion, Ms Poonam Sabharwal of CMS Gomti
Nagar Campus I was declared the Best CMS Teacher in ISC (Class 12) section
while Ms Barkha Sinha of CMS Mahanagar Campus was adjudged the Best CMS Teacher
in ICSE (Class 10) section for the year 2021-22. The parents of both these
teachers were felicitated by weighing in fruits and flowers. In addition to
these, teachers of various CMS campuses who have been declared the best
teachers for the session at the campus level were also felicitated. Overall, in
this grand ceremony gifts and cash prizes totaling around Rs. 1.5 crore were
given away as prizes to CMS teachers. A colourful educational-cultural pogramme
presented by the teachers added lustre to the celebrations. Superior
Principal and Head of CMS Quality Assurance and Innovations Department, Ms
Susmita Ghose extended a warm welcome to the teachers.
