CMS organizes Open Day Celebrations of CISV Mini Camp


 

Lucknow, 16 October : The open day of the two-day ‘Children’s International Summer Village’ (CISV) mini-camp, ‘ Udaan’, was organized in a grand manner at City Montessori School, Kanpur Road auditorium today. On this occasion, while on one hand, CMS students presented colourful folk dances of different countries dressed in their traditional attires, giving the message of ‘Vasudhaiv Kutumbkam’, on the other hand, they spread awareness for the need of ‘World Unity’ and ‘World Peace’ through beautiful presentation of all-religion and world peace prayer. The selected students from all the 20 campuses of CMS participated in this two-day long CISV mini-camp and stayed together under one roof, enjoying fun-filled activities aimed at promoting the ideals of world unity, world peace and universal brotherhood. The camp concluded with the ‘Open Day’ programme today.

            President of India Chapter of CISV International and CMS Founder, Dr Jagdish Gandhi inaugurated the ‘Open Day’ by lighting the lamp. Addressing the audience on the occasion, Dr Jagdish Gandhi said that only the future generations will establish world unity, world peace and brotherhood in this world. These type of programmes are helpful in enhancing the overall personality of children. Staying together in such camps develops the feeling of cooperation among young children and promotes cultural understanding, peace and unity. It is these qualities which will enable them to create one world family in future. Dr Gandhi conveyed his gratitude to the parents and teachers for the successful conduct of this camp and congratulated the students for their outstanding performance.

            The event commenced with an energizer which left the audience applauding on their feet. Students carrying the flags of different countries prayed for peace in their continents in the World Peace Prayer. The parents in the audience were left spellbound on witnessing the colourful folk dances presented by the students. Students representing 20 countries including the USA, Mexico, Costa Rica, Brazil, New Zealand, Korea, Spain, Portugal, Egypt and India presented folk dances of their respective countries. The ‘Open Day’ concluded with singing of the CISV song.

CMS students win 12 medals including 4 Gold in Bhartiya Sanskriti Gyan Pariksha

Lucknow, February 18: Students of City Montessori School, Aliganj Campus II brought pride to the institution by securing 12 medals including 4 Gold, 4 Silver and 4 Bronze Medals in the prestigious Bhartiya Sanskriti Gyan Pariksha organized by Gayatri Teerth, Shantikunj, Haridwar. Lucknow, March 5 : City Montessori School, Kanpur Road Campus, successfully organized the grand ‘Divine Education Conference’ today at the school auditorium. The Chief Guest, Shri Harsh Singh, IPS, inaugurated the event by lighting the ceremonial lamp.
