Schools and parents need to instill moral values in children right from their formative years — Shri Suryapal Gangwar, DM, Lucknow

Lucknow, 31 January : Chief Guest, Shri Suryapal Gangwar, IAS, District Magistrate, Lucknow while addressing the large gathering of parents on the celebrations of 'Annual Parents and Grandparents Day' organized by City Montessori School, Gomti Nagar Campus I at CMS Gomti Nagar extension auditorium, said that we should begin from our home and family in giving a congenial atmosphere to children and catch children young in implanting moral values in their tender minds. He said that such cultural and educational programmes are very important for the all-round development of children. This function is inspiring not only for the children but also for the elders and encourages us to contribute for a healthy, prosperous and happy world society. Earlier, the Chief Guest, Shri Gangwar inaugurated the function by lighting the lamp of learning. 'All Religion and World Peace Prayer' presented by students on this occasion, was worth watching.Welcoming the Chief Guest and other invited guests, CMS Founder and renowned educationist, Dr Jagdish Gandhi said that CMS not only enriches its students academically but it also teaches humanistic values to make them total quality persons and this event is one such way to do that.

            Earlier, the 'Annual Parents and Grandparents Day celebrations' began with much pomp and show. Tiny tots in colourful dresses won the hearts of their parents and grandparents with educational-cultural items that they presented enthusiastically. On this occasion, grandparents of students were also present in large numbers to encourage their children. Students also seemed excited to showcase their multi-faceted talents before their parents. Principal of CMS Gomti Nagar Campus I, Mrs Abha Anant extended heartfelt thanks to parents and said that the aim of CMS to make each child good and smart can only be attained with parents' cooperation.

CMS team bags first prize in Quiz Contest

  Lucknow, 16 February : A team of three meritorious students of City Montessori School, Aliganj Campus I comprising Tashvi Singh, Fiona Abeer Singh and Amol Gupta, brought glory to the institution by winning the first prize in an inter-school quiz competition based on environment and wildlife. This competition was organized under the aegis of Rotary Elite Club, Lucknow. This information was given by the Chief Public Relations Officer of CMS, Shri Hari Om Sharma. CMS students give a strong message of Family Unityon Valentines Day

Lucknow, February 14 : The 58,000 students of all 21 campuses of City Montessori School,led by their respective Principals gave a strong message of ‘Family Unity’ by celebrating St Valentine’s Martyrdom Day, as ‘Family Unity Day’. In this series, CMS Rajajipuram Campus II organized 'Family Unity Day' at its well decorated school premises. On this occasion, students of the school presented a series of educational-cultural items highlighting the importance of family unity.
