February : Tiny tots of City Montessori School, Station Road Campus spread the
colours of unity in diversity at the Sports Day of their Campus held here today
at the Northern Railway Stadium in Charbagh, Lucknow. Talents sprinkled forth
through races, drills and fitness exercises performed by students. Parents were
delighted to watch their children racing ahead on the sports field and sending
the message of family unity, freedom, cooperation and healthy living through
games and sports. Earlier, the Sports
Day was inaugurated by Chief Guest Mr Gyanendra Pandey, Former Indian Cricket Player
and Selector of Junior Cricket Team in BCCI.
Addressing the young
sportspersons, the Chief Guest, Mr Gyanendra Pandey said that games
and sports sharpen one’s physical and mental abilities and give confidence to
oneself. It leads to all round development of the child. CMS Founder and renowned
educationist, Dr Jagdish Gandhi said that the health of the children is
important for the development of the country. Children are the nation’s future
and the leaders of tomorrow, He congratulated the children for participating
actively and moving swiftly towards their goal of Excellence in all things. It
brings joy and happiness in one’s life whilst also creating team spirit and
good sportsman spirit. Studies and sports go together.
Earlier,
the sports day commenced with all religion and world unity prayers. A stiff
competition was seen among the participants to score medals in various sports
competitions and the students gave their best showcasing their strength,
stamina, and talent. Students displayed their agility and sporting talents in
Obstacle Race, Hoopla Race, Paper Race, Cone Race, Aerobics, Chef Race, Balloon
Race, Bunny Race and Caterpillar Race etc. The winning students were awarded
certificates, medals, and shields.

Campus, Mrs Deepali Gautam said that sports play a very important role in the
intellectual development of the students and this is possible only through
sports. She expressed heartfelt gratitude to the parents and the guests for the
encouraging the students.
