Inter-Campus Chess Tournament 'Chaturanga 2023' concludes

Lucknow, July 20 : Two day Inter-Campus Chess Tournament organized by City Montessori School, Rajendra Nagar Campus I came to a grand conclusion here today. Hosts CMS Rajendra Nagar, won the Overall Championship securing the maximum number of 13 points. Today, on the second and concluding day of Chaturanga-2023, the semi-final and final matches were held for all three categories. In the primary boys’ category, Jagnoor Singh of CMS Rajendra Nagar Campus I won the first prize while in the primary girls’ category, Raj Shikha Yadav of the same campus won the first prize. Similarly, in the junior boys’ category, Arav Yadav of CMS Gomti Nagar Campus II while among the junior girls’, Atulya Tripathi of Cambridge section of CMS Gomti Nagar Campus II secured the first position. In the senior boys’ category, Arnav Nigam of Kanpur Road Campus while in the senior girls’ category, Siddhi Kesarwani  of CMS Aliganj Campus I bagged the first position displaying a tremendous amount of skill and stamina. In this Inter-Campus Chess Tournament, around 250 players from 21 CMS Campuses competed with great enthusiasm. The game of intellect and strategy, brought out some of the finest players to the fore and encouraged the students to realize their fullest potential. It honed their powers of concentration and taught them to plan and execute meticulously.

            At the Closing and Prize Distribution Ceremony of Chaturanga-2023, the winners were awarded and honoured with certificates, medals and trophies.  The closing ceremony of Chaturanga was replete with music and dance in a variety programme. It brought to light the picture of unity in diversity in Indian society. Addressing the gathering at the closing ceremony, the Senior Principal of CMS Rajendra Nagar Campus I, Mrs Jayashree Krishnan said that such tournaments help in developing the qualities of good sportsmanship, concentrated effort and thinking ability among the students. It leads us to creating Total Quality World Citizens who will strive to make the earth a happy place to dwell upon. She thanked the guests and all the participants for their cooperation and effort which had made the event a great success.

CMS students give a strong message of Family Unityon Valentines Day

Lucknow, February 14 : The 58,000 students of all 21 campuses of City Montessori School,led by their respective Principals gave a strong message of ‘Family Unity’ by celebrating St Valentine’s Martyrdom Day, as ‘Family Unity Day’. In this series, CMS Rajajipuram Campus II organized 'Family Unity Day' at its well decorated school premises. On this occasion, students of the school presented a series of educational-cultural items highlighting the importance of family unity.   Lucknow, January 8 : The CMS tableau to be taken out this Republic Day, on 26th January will give the message of ‘Respect for all religions’ to the general public. This inspirational tableau based on the theme ‘Ishwar, Allah, Wahe Guru, Chahe kaho Sri Ram, Malik sabka ek hai, alag-alag hain naam’ will propagate the message to the public to imbibe the spirit of ‘respect for all religions’ and ‘Vasudhaiv Kutumbkam’ and make an appeal for a world order which is full of love, compassion and cooperation.
