CMS Kanpur Road wins Overall Championship in Skating Tournament

Lucknow, 6 October : Students of City Montessori School, Kanpur Road Campus dominated the skating competitions at CISCE Regional Skating Tournament winning the overall championship in four different categories-under 14 (boys), under 17 (boys), under 17 (girls) and under 19 (girls) thus bringing laurels to the institution. The tournament was organized under the aegis of the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) in Gorakhpur. In this championship, CMS skaters notched 11 gold medals, 12 silver medals and 5 bronze medals. They won the overall championship in four categories. This information was given by the Chief Public Relations Officer of CMS Mr Hari Om Sharma. Mr Sharma further stated that top players of prestigious schools in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand had participated in this skating tournament. Beating the tough competition, CMS skating champs showed tremendous skill, control over roller skates, mental balance and effortless skating ability winning the hearts of those present and skating away to glory. CMS Founder expressed his deep satisfaction and happiness over the result and wished them well in future after congratulating them for this success.   

            Mr Sharma further stated that CMS promotes sports and other extra-curricular activities besides imparting quality education to its students because academics and sports both are necessary for the holistic progress of students, CMS believes. Therefore, CMS encourages its students to participate in various competitions which help them shine nationally and internationally.
