Lucknow, 12 January : Darsh Agarwal, a
student of Grade V at City Montessori School, Cambridge Section, Gomti Nagar
Campus II has taken up the unique initiative of wild life conservation and
inspiring the younger generation to take up this noble cause. For one whole
year, he has adopted a crocodile from the Lucknow Zoo and decided to bear all
its expenses with his own pocket money. Ten year old Darsh Agarwal has become
the youngest child to adopt any wild animal and thus created a new record. This
information was given by the Chief Public Relations Officer of CMS, Mr Hari Om
Sharma. Mr Sharma stated that this wonderful act of Darsh clearly outlines his
compassionate nature, love for wild animals, and an earnest desire to do
something constructive to bring about a positive change in the lives of animals
and contribute to their well-being. Besides this, Darsh has also launched a
campaign on the social media platform through you tube. Here he motivates
people to adopt protected wild animals and give them food, love and security so
that they enjoy a happy and healthy life.
Mr
Sharma further said that CMS promotes soil, water and land conservation and
trains its students to take up wildlife conservation in a big way both
individually and collectively. It leads to social and environmental awareness
and brings us close to nature. He likes to participate in programmes related to
preservation of flora and fauna and enriching the earth’s resources. CMS
believes that wild life is an important part of the earth’s ecosystem and it is
our duty as world citizens to protect them. It is due to the commitment and
efforts of the institution that students are motivated to take up social
awareness and wildlife conservation programmes besides creating new records in
academics.
