July 23 : Two outstanding teachers of Cambridge Section of City Montessori
School, Gomti Nagar Campus II namely Ms Shan Ara Khan and Ms Shilpi Agarwal
have shown outstanding professional ability in the International CENTA Teaching
Professional Olympiad bringing Lucknow once again shine on the world map. Over
80,000 teachers from all over the world participated in this International
Olympiad out of which Ms Shan Ara Khan secured the 4th International Rank in
Senior Secondary English category while Ms Shilpi Agarwal secured 5th
International rank in Computer Science, thus bringing glory to the school. This
information was given by the CMS Public Relations officer, Mr Rishi Khanna. He
added that CMS teachers have created a place for themselves among the top 100
teachers of the world by sheer dint of their teaching ability and professional
strength. CMS Manager Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon congratulated both the
teachers and wished for their success in coming years too.
Mr Khanna informed that Teaching
Professionals Olympiad (TPO) is organized every year under the aegis of Centre
for Teacher Accreditation and its objective is to encourage and catalyze the
development of teaching talents and skills of teachers. In this unique
competition, teachers are selected on the basis of subject wise knowledge,
experience and high academic standards. Thus, by recognizing the abilities of
teachers and developing their talents through this Olympiad, a qualitative
change can be brought about in their performance in teaching the students.
