CMS Cambridge team earns global recognition for water quality research

Lucknow, 9 December : A six-member student team from the Cambridge Section of City Montessori School, Gomti Nagar Extension Campus, has brought glory to Lucknow on the global stage by winning the prestigious ‘Best in South Asia-2024’ award at the Cambridge International Science Competition. The CMS Cambridge Section team comprises Adriti Sharma, Kartik Arora, Tejaswi Tripathi, Mohammad Mahi, Vyapti, and Atulya Tripathi. They received this honour for their science project titled "Unveiling Water Quality: A Rigorous Examination of Gomti River Potability Parameters in the Lucknow Region". The objective of this project was to address the pressing global challenge of water contamination and potability issues with Gomti River water. Through their in-depth scientific analysis, research, and findings, the CMS students have presented a creative solution to the global issue of drinking water quality. This information was given by Mr. Rishi Khanna, Head, Communications, CMS. He stated that the judging panel from Cambridge International Assessment Education, London, highly commended the project, saying, "The CMS student team has identified a local issue that holds global relevance. Their project could serve as a valuable resource not only for various stakeholders involved in water quality management but also for government bodies."CMS Manager, Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon, congratulated the students for their outstanding global achievement and wished them a bright future. She also expressed gratitude to the school’s principal and teachers for their guidance and support.

CMS teachers honoured with Gold Medals at International Teachers Olympiad

Lucknow, February 10 : Four teachers of City Montessori School, Aliganj Campus II, namely Ms. Shweta Pathania Mishra, Ms. Tanushree Rastogi, Ms. Deepti Mehrotra, and Ms. Ritu Gupta have been awarded Gold Medals and Certificates of Proficiency for their exceptional teaching skills and professional excellence. These CMS teachers achieved this distinction based on their outstanding performance in the International CREST Teacher Olympiad.
