Science Models made by CMS students win applause from audience


 

Lucknow, February 9 : The one-day inter-campus Science Model competition, Scifari organized by City Montessori School, United World Campus, Indira Nagar concluded today. This Science festival saw CMS students from different campuses display their scientific thinking and creativity through the Science Models prepared by them. Scifari was inaugurated virtually today by the Chief Guest, Shri Raj Mehrotra, Head, Regional Science City, Ministry of Culture, Government of India. Addressing the audience on this occasion, Shri Raj Mehrotra said that there is an immense need of such competitions in today’s times so that the imagination and creativity potential of the students may be encouraged. Earlier, the Science Model competition was inaugurated today with the traditional lighting of the lamp, school prayer and prayer dance. Educational-cultural presentations during the inauguration ceremony like all-religion prayer, science talk, group song etc won the hearts of the audience.

            Under this one-day Science Model competition, students of different CMS campuses presented socially beneficial Science Models, demonstrating that today’s generation possesses immense ability, skill, and intelligence and is aware of the creative upliftment of the society. Students presented models of rainwater harvesting equipment, electrical energy, mini working elevator, ropeway, wastewater management, simple machines etc, and displayed their immense creative potential. The audience and the jury heartily applauded the creative potential of students. Science teachers of various renowned schools, Ms Shalini Williams, Ms Humra Jawed, Ms Amuda Jalal played their role as jury members and selected the best science models, awarding them in an online ceremony.

            CMS Founder, Dr Jagdish Gandhi, while congratulating the participating students, said that the responsibility of building a peaceful society rests on the shoulder of the young generation. Founder Director of CMS, Dr Bharti Gandhi also congratulated the participants and said that the upliftment and further development of global society is possible only by adopting a humanistic and scientific approach. CMS President & MD, Prof Geeta Gandhi Kingdon and Chief Executive Officer, Mr Roshan Gandhi also expressed their views on this occasion. Convenor of Scifari and Principal of CMS United World Campus, Ms Kanika Kapoor delivered the vote of thanks for the successful conduct of the event.

Outstanding performance of Akriti Singh of CMS in NEET 2024

Lucknow, June 5: Students of City Montessori School have yet again recorded huge success in the NEET Exams 2024 with as many as 96 of them securing place above the cut off percentage on the national merit list and becoming eligible for admission to top Medical Colleges of India. Among these, Akriti Singh of CMS Kanpur Road Campus scored 701 marks out of a total of 720 marks and secured All India Rank 1597 bringing laurels to the school. 18 CMS students secured 99 percentile and above marks in the aforesaid exam creating history yet again. Out of these, 9 secured national ranks above 7300 and the remaining 9 secured rank under 20000. Lucknow, March 5 : City Montessori School, Kanpur Road Campus, successfully organized the grand ‘Divine Education Conference’ today at the school auditorium.
