Intense discussions on Religious Unity, Gender Discrimination, Climate change and Sustainable Development held

Lucknow, 15 July : Star studded with dignitaries, policy makers and religious gurus, the three day International Interfaith Conference organized by Lucknow’s City Montessori School, Asharfabad Campus welcomed the guests on the second day of its occurrence at CMS Kanpur Road Auditorium. Chief Guest, Dr Dinesh Sharma, former Deputy Chief Minister of U.P., lit the lamp of learning to inaugurate the day’s programme along with Guests of Honour, Mr Sudhanshu Trivedi, Member of Rajya Sabha and Mr Prabhu Chawla, Senior Journalist. The presence of these renowned persons and Religious Heads of various religions added gravity to the international conference. Addressing the audience, Dr Dinesh Sharma said that Religion has an important role to play in the world and its work is to spread peace, unity, harmony and brotherhood among mankind.

               Speaking on the second day of this Conference, Special Guest of Honour, Mr Sudhanshu Trivedi said that our ancient Indian culture has always preached the lesson of Oneness of Mankind and Mutual Respect for all the Religions of the World which leads to world peace and harmony. Senior journalist, Mr Prabhu Chawla expressed the view that India is recognized as the world’s most powerful democracy because of its rich culture based on unity in diversity and Vasudhaiv Kutumbkam. It is conferences like these which will lead to spiritual awakening and unity and they must be held frequently in different places. Dr Justice Adel Omar Sherif, Deputy Chief Justice, Constitutional Court of Egypt opined that justice and equality must go hand in hand with religion, human rights must not be suppressed and women and children must be respected for their rights.

               Earlier, CMS Founder, Renowned Educationist Dr Jagdish Gandhi welcomed the renowned scholars and dignitaries from various parts of India and abroad saying that the value and importance of education lies in spreading peace, harmony and enlightenment in society so that the whole generation has a good and strong character. CMS President Prof Geeta Gandhi Kingdon said that a visionary and wholesome education will create a better world for the future and remove the problems of climate change, environmental degradation, conflict and chaos from society.

CMS tableau to give the message of respect for all religionsat this years Republic Day parade

  Lucknow, January 8 : The CMS tableau to be taken out this Republic Day, on 26th January will give the message of ‘Respect for all religions’ to the general public. This inspirational tableau based on the theme ‘Ishwar, Allah, Wahe Guru, Chahe kaho Sri Ram, Malik sabka ek hai, alag-alag hain naam’ will propagate the message to the public to imbibe the spirit of ‘respect for all religions’ and ‘Vasudhaiv Kutumbkam’ and make an appeal for a world order which is full of love, compassion and cooperation. Mayor applauds the multi-faceted talents of CMS students in Radio programme

  Lucknow, July 29 : Students of various CMS campuses presented educational radio programmes from the Community Radio Station of City Montessori School on the occasion of National Broadcasting Day. Mayor of Lucknow, Mrs Sanyukta Bhatia who was the chief guest on the occasion, while applauding the performance of CMS students, said that they are making the city proud with their multi-faceted talents besides their academic excellence. The students utilized the occasion to put several questions to the mayor, who also participated in the live programme.
